ACCA P3 Michael Mainwaring, MBA, MSc

Specialises in P3 Business Analysis

Michael has an MBA from the University of Liverpool and an MSC from the University of London.  He spent the early part of his career in management consultancy before deciding that lecturing was what he wanted to do. Although based in London at LCA,  Michael has taught all over the world - in the Caribbean, India, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Eire and, most exotic of all, Walsall, although he now confines his overseas teaching to Malaysia. He specialises in teaching ACCA Paper P3 Business Analysis and produces all his own study materials, including his not-to-be-missed 'Bluff Notes', which cover the syllabus in less than 100 pages. Michael favours a highly focused approach to the syllabus, and a highly structured approach to tackling case studies.

 

ACCA P2 Haneef M.Bus., AMIA

Specialises in P2 Corporate Reporting 

Haneef holds a Masters qualification from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He is an affiliated member of the Association of International Accountants. He also holds a Royal Society of Arts qualification majoring in Accounting. 

Haneef, the Guru began his academic career in 1986 as a lecturer in financial accounting related subjects. His lecturing expertise in international accounting standards has successfully prepared students for the professional examinations of the ACCA, CIMA & ICSA and degree program. 

His students have a good record of winning Best Prize Awards. He is also able to draw from his vast commercial experience to enrich lectures. His lectures are well planned, precise and professionally conducted with particular attention to details.

 

ACCA P1 Magdalene Chia, FCCA, MBA

Specialises in F8 Audit & Assurance and P1 Governance, Risk & Ethics 

Magdalene has more than 6 years of lecturing experience in the field of Audit and Governance, Risk & Ethics. She is very passionate and dedicated in her work and gives assistance to students even at last minute before the exam and gives support to the team in smooth running of the professional programme. She has helped many students getting through the exam.

 

ACCA P4 Yoong Mun Yen, FCCA

Specialises in P4 Adv. Financial Mgmt., F9 Financial Mgmt. & CAT T10 Managing Finance

Mr Yoong, is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and graduate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, ICSA(UK). He started his professional career in London before returning to Malaysia to join a major accountancy firm. He has more than 20 years experience in delivering lectures on Financial Strategy, Advanced Financial Management, Corporate and Business Finance subjects for various professional bodies including ACCA, CIMA and ICSA. By empowering his unique studying approach for professional exams over the past 20 years, some of his students also became prize winners for the financial management paper in the professional examination in Malaysia with the latest candidate achieving the first prize for corporate financial management paper in ICSA June 2008 exam.

As a student he studied for both the professional exams at the same time and also passed a maximum of 12 subjects in the same sitting. He completed his ICSA exam in record time fo 18 months and ACCA in 30 months. One of his outstanding recognition during studies was receiving the World First Prize for the UK Taxation paper.

 

ACCA P5 Adam, FCCA, MSc

Specialises in P5 Adv. Performance Management

Adam obtained his professional accountancy experience while working at Touche Ross. He completed his ACCA in 1994 and achieved a distinction in Masters in International Business from the University of Nottingham in 2004.

He started professional accountancy teaching in 1995 which gives him 18 years of experience in conducting performance management courses for ACCA and CIMA. This experience spans across many countires including Malaysia, China, Cambodia, Brunei, India, Vietnam, Rwanda and Uganda.

A very well qualified lecturer. She was a ACCA Malaysia Prize Winner who scored excellent grades during her studies in ACCA. In addition, she had obtained a First Class Honours degree from the University of Malaya and completed her MBA where she scored a CGPA of 3.86 - 4.00.

Ms Ong is a dedicated and responsible lecturer for taxation papers. She had a good passing rate for the subjects she had taught. Through her former students' feedback her teaching methods are good and effective thus students sit their subjects with ease. Most of her students scored very well in their exams. She is continuously improving her teaching skills to produce quality students with high passing grades.

Ms Wong has more than 10 years of practical experience in the assurance services and commerce industries, and is exposes in the fileds of Finanical Accounting, Financial Management and Taxation. With her valuable corporate experience, she has always managed to keep her lectures interesting by bringing real-life scenarios into the classroom. She is a caring, friendly and dedicated lecturer who has taught locally and overseas. 

 

ACCA F6 Assoc.Prof Faridah, FCCA, CA(M), FTII(M) - Guest Lecturer

Specialises in F6(M) Taxation

Pn Faridah is an Associate Professor of Taxation at the Faculty of Accountancy, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia. She has written the BPP ACCA F6(M). She has been teaching taxation course since she first joined the University in April 1980. She teaches Malaysian and UK Taxation at various levels which include Diploma in Accountancy, Bachelor of Accountancy, ACCA and ICSA. She is actively involved in consultancy and training programmes for small and medium sized entrepreneurs in the area of taxation.

Pn Faridah graduated from ACCA in 1979, She was admitted as a Fellow of the Assciation in 1987. She is also a Malaysia Institute of Accountants (CA) and Fellow member of the Chartered Institute Taxation of Malaysia (CITM).

 

ACCA F5 Laurence Kuek, MBA, AAT, MCSE

Specialises in FMA Managemant Accounting and F5 Performance Management

Prior to the lecturing profession, Laurence started his career in the retail catering operations for a UK FTSE 100 company responsible for budgeting, controls, training and IT.

Laurence has then continued his teaching career with one of the long established college in East Malaysia. With years of experience in the higher education industry, he has gained extensive exposures in the teaching of cost & management accounting subjects for various external examination programs including the ACCA, CAT, ABE and LCCI.

Laurence’s effort not only benefits the students in the classroom, but also, with his specially written assisted learning systems, he has successfully increased the candidates’ pass rates in the Computer-Based examination for the CAT and ACCA examination with the proof of several world prizes won by his students.

 

ACCA F4 Edgar J de Souza LLB(Hons), UK 

Specialises in F4(MYS) Corporate Business Law

Edgar has over sixteen years of lecturing in law subject for UK professional programmes (ACCA, ICSA, CIMA & CIM). He is also teaching management related subjects, and is able to relate them to the application of law. With the combination of practical knowledge and years of teaching experience has made Mr Edgar the best speaker in law subject.

 

ACCA F4 Ramesh Balakrishnan, LLB, University of London

Specialises in F4(MYS) Corporate Business Law

Ramesh Balakrishnan holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London. With his serious and no-nonsense personality, he commands his students’ attention and turns even the most tedious of topics interesting and simple by using his techniques. His 11 years experience has made him to be a pioneer law lecturer in Johor Bahru.

He has been lecturing in Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya for more than 5 years. He has been lecturing law subjects in many reputable programmes such as ACCA, LLB (UOL), BSc (UOL), CIMA (UK), Cambridge University (UK) and ABE (UK).

He has earned praises from many of his students for helping them in passing and scoring the Corporate and Business Law (MYS) F4 ACCA and also other law papers. His strengths include making law subject easy to understand with charts, mind-mapping, past-years analysis, tutorials, interrograms, assignments, time test and mock exams, at the same time, going into the depths of the subject. He has also conducted Intensive Revision Course in East Malaysia on several occasions.

Notably, one of his student have obtained the Malaysia Prize (2nd Placing) in 2001 and (1st Placing) in June 2007 in the same subject. ACCA F3 S.M.Tan, BSc

Specialises in ACCA F3 / FFA Financial Accounting

S.M. Tan holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Management from the University of London.

She has 8 years of lecturing experience in LCCI and diploma courses and 10 years of private tutoring experience in Accounting, Economics and English. With her vast teaching experience, excellent communication skills, approachable and empathetic personality, you will find the learning process to be beneficial and interesting.

After leaving commercial line, Emily then pursued her career in education sector. She is currently lecturing on the corporate governance, human resource management related subjects for several diplomas programs and professional programs including the ACCA.
